ahhh, one more day of summer session 1 and I got an A!!!! woot woot!!
Sadly session 2 is gonna be a very difficult class and I have to make at
least a C in it. Fortunately I wont have any other classes to worry
about. Computer research methods in criminal justice. Then I only have
3 classes to complete. Victimology, probation and parole and
Astronomy. Astronomy is gonna be a biotch but the other two should be
easy. Looking forward to graduating in December and then getting a job
at McDonalds.

Good Morning World!
So far session 1 has been fun. Havnt had to go to the campus though. Everyday is 3 hours in the court room. You would think that in a new 74 million dollar court room they could put some cushions on the benches #butthurt. Its been very interesting learning how the courts work. I am really surprised at how many defendants appear looking like rag dolls. They are usually the ones that are suspected of drug charges. One case that really stood out was a 99 year old man filing for divorce. They man didnt look a day over 80. Case was rescheduled so I dont know the details. so today I also get to take part in a Jury focus group for a law firm. Wont be able to talk about it though, I have to sign a non-disclosure agreement. One great thing for me about this class is I am working with mostly seniors so I am really comfortable with the students. I haven't been afraid to talk to them or speak up when questions are asked. My professor, Dr. Selva, Is probably one of the most tenured professors there. He has been teaching at MTSU since 1975. Very laid back man and he makes it fun. Well off to class, hope everyone has a great day.

Well the first day of Summer session was very interesting. Our class meets in the court house and its very interesting. Got to see my first professor and advisor, Dr. Selva, from 1984. wow, he has gotten old. lol. guess that means I have too. Glad to see a friendly face. He still has the same attitude maybe a little more laid back. Sadly most of my other CJA professors have passed. So about to head to the court house for class. Going to be hot but its a brand new building so they have good AC. Oh, also met with my graduation advisor and they found a class that was being reported on my evaluation so thats one less class to graduate WOOT WOOT. Things are looking good.

ahhhhh, vacation is almost over and I am looking forward to class on Monday. Only 5 more classes to graduate. 3 this summer and 2 in the fall. Funny how when I was a traditional student I would never have been happy about going to summer school. lol. Starting off taking Dr. Selvas Criminal court and procedure class. He was my very first professor and advisor. This is gonna be fun. One thing I look forward to is walking around downtown Murfreesboro (class is in the courthouse) and visiting the local merchants. Most of us just go too the campus and forget there is a town surrounding it. Murfreesboro actually has a lot of history and has always supported our campus and I look forward to the chance to return the favor even if its just having lunch at a local mom and pop on the square. Well almost bed time, yall have a good night now, ya hear!

I got a request to fill out a survey on my experiences at MTSU. Seems like it is focused on racial diversity, a good thing of course, but still a shame they have to. I learned as a young child color doesnt matter. Anyways, the one thing that upset me is that they didnt as about the food!!! The only thing that disappointed me on campus. Even the fast food options are not like a regular restaurant. I have heard several students complain that they pay $3000 for a meal plan and they arnt getting there monies worth. They complain that there a limited options and the options promised them are nonexistent. I have gone to all the campus dining options and I see what they are talking about. Half the time, during prime hours, they are out of food and dont open areas that are supposed to be. I went to the dining services for a refund after seeing only one dish served and was told they were not replenishing and they still had 2.5 hours left till they closed. I told them my experience and after that they had plenty. So, if your not happy with your experience, please go to the dining office at the KUC and tell them.
enough of the ranting. Enjoying my time off, but look forward to my summer session. Going to clean up the car today and work some around the house. Finally the weather is catching up to the seasons. well enough for now, hope everyone has a great day and summer.
